SE Asia: Over the past four years, God has allowed more than 2,000 individuals across Cambodia to be trained in The Story of Hope. The Story of Hope Training Academy seems to get bigger each year. As word continues to spread, pastors and church leaders from around the country continue to ask for us to come and teach and train. Even more encouraging, several pastors in northern Cambodia have taken it upon themselves to multiply the work—traveling to remote villages to teach and disciple others using this resource. We praise God for these faithful men who not only learn but eagerly pour into others.

But it didn't stop there!

“Over the past three years, God has opened an unexpected and extraordinary door for us: the opportunity to travel into a neighboring restricted-access country to teach and train pastors serving among remote tribal language groups. Word had spread about The Story of Hope Bible Institute and how it equips believers with a strong biblical foundation. Soon, pastors from all over the countryside were requesting training.

“During these trips, we had the privilege of teaching fifty pastors—faithful men ministering in places where few missionaries can ever go. Our goal was simple but strategic: equip them to use The Story of Hope curriculum in their own context, so they could bring the gospel to remote tribal regions with little or no access to Scripture. We taught the material in the national language, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Several pastors were even commissioned to begin translating the curriculum into various tribal languages.

“Then, just a few months ago, we received encouraging and exciting news: several of the pastors we trained had gathered forty children’s teachers from fourteen churches and trained them to use The Story of Hope. Why? So they could evangelize and teach more than 700 teenagers living in some of the most isolated corners of their country.

“This is 2 Timothy 2:2 in action—teaching faithful men who will teach others also. Much of ministry is sowing seeds in seasons of weary, unseen labor… but every so often, in His kindness, the Lord lets us glimpse the harvest. And when He does, it strengthens us to press on."

Bolivia 2025

Our Good Soil Spanish-speaking coordinator, Carl Sexton, shared the following story from one of the last trainings –

Ruth looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Hermano Carlos, we need all 72 of the children in our orphanage to be taught your The Story of Hope Kids Bible study. Each of them needs to clearly understand the Gospel."

I responded, "Yes, Ruth! I will personally make sure that each child and teenager has a copy, provide Leader's Guides for the adults teaching the study groups, and walk along with them using WhatsApp audio and video meetings as they teach the kids."

Mongolian Training Khatgal 2025

Mongolia: This past August, over 90 people traveled to Khatgal, Mongolia, a village in Mongolia on the southern tip of Lake Khövsgöl, where our Good Soil partners have a camp and training facility. They enthusiastically participated in The Roots of Faith New Testament training. The year before, we trained about 60 participants in The Roots of Faith Old Testament, and that was so well received and promoted by word of mouth, that we had over 50% more at this year’s training and had almost another 50 that would have liked to participate but we had maxed out the facilities.

One major mission organization in the country brought their entire staff. They are committed to teaching this to others around the country. This past month they brought in 60 rural church leaders from 15 different provinces and taught them TROF NT. In a country that has so few Christian resources in the Mongol language, The Roots of Faith is meeting a great need and firmly grounding many new believers in the truths of God’s Word and a clear understanding of His great redemptive plan.

India GSED Training 2025

India: Last month several hundred church leaders were trained in some Good Soil principles and using The Story of Hope-Hindi, newly translated and printed for the first time.

Poland 2025

Poland: The Story of Hope - Polish is being used to teach English and God's redemptive plan simultaneously!

Philippines 2025

Philippines: Our Good Soil Filipino director, Ariel Abadiano, had dozens of trainings each year around the country, including this one which combined some basic Good Soil Training with Heart, Mind & Soul for Muslims.
