Good Soil Plays Key Role in Planting and Growing a Colombian Church

“I’m Catholic and not interested in a new church or religion.” Jose had come to the Saturday night Bible study to get his friend, who would not quit inviting him, off his back. He wanted Dan Mee, the missionary leading the study, to know that this was a one-time thing. Dan warmly welcomed him and handed him a copy of The Story of Hope, praying that the study of God’s Word would have an impact on his life.

Bible Students' Lives Changed by The Story of Hope

It began as just the next lesson in The Story of Hope. For several weeks, Pastor Dennis Nkosi of Crossroads Community of Christ Church in Durban, South Africa, had been teaching a group of sixteen students, including two pastors. Filipino Police Force Being Ministered to with Good Soil Resources

Joseph Blasco and his wife Evangeline were Christian schoolteachers in the Rizal province of the Philippine when they were introduced to the Good Soil Evangelism & Discipleship training. It had an immediate impact on them, and they became actively engaged in making disciples and passing on the training to others. Philippine House of Representatives Receive The Story of Hope

From the very beginning, the standard for Good Soil resources has been “to make them of such quality that high government officials won’t be offended to receive them.” That is exactly what came about in the Philippines recently. In 1986, the Philippine Bible Society designated January as National Bible Month. That celebration was officially recognized in 2017 by the current government through a presidential proclamation. This year, there were events and activities planned all over the country, including the Philippines Prayer Breakfast on January 27th in Manila, hosted by boxer Manny Pacquiao, in which Ravi Zacharias was the keynote speaker.

Ukrainians Take Good Soil Training to Armenia

Vladimir Nikolaev is the director of the Church Ministries Institute (CMI) based in Ukraine. The CMI was founded by ABWE missionaries in 1994 and is dedicated to preparing men and women for quality ministry in the local church, equipping them with discipleship and evangelism training, and enabling them to build growing churches throughout Eurasia. The few evangelical Baptist churches in Armenia have been partnering with the CMI to start a Bible school in Armenia under the leadership of Haik Khachaturian. This past fall, Vladimir, Haik and others had the opportunity to hold the first Good Soil Evangelism & Discipleship seminar in Armenia with some incredible results.
