• ChronoBridge Cards Leader’s Guide (11-11-08)

  This three-page document will help you as you begin to use the ChronoBridge cards in presenting the gospel. It provides a suggested summary for each step in the process.

• E-List & D-List Cards

  These are the cards that each participant receives at the end of the seminar.  The participant records names of people he/she is focusing on and praying for his/her ministry of evangelism (E-List) and discipleship (D-List).

• Entry Level Conversation Openers (11-10-08)

  This document contains more than 100 ideas for initiating entry level conversations in order to begin the worldview onion peeling process.

• Faith Story Examples (1-09-09)

  This document contains multiple samples of faith stories (evangelistic testimonies). We don’t present them as perfect examples, but perhaps they will be helpful examples for you as you develop your own faith story.

• Genesis 3:15 - Is the Seed Singular or Plural?

  This article addresses the question whether the woman’s ‘seed’ in Genesis 3:15 is an individual (as LXX interprets) or her posterity, by an empirical study of how Biblical Hebrew used its pronouns and verb inflections when they are associated with zera‘, ‘seed’, when it has the nuance ‘offspring’. Syntactically Genesis 3:15 exhibits the pattern found when zera‘ refers to an individual. The article concludes with some suggestions for following the exegetical consequences of this syntactical result.

  This four-page document gives a summary of the “God (the Father) attributes” that can be discovered in the 20 Old Testament events in The Story of Hope, as well as the “Jesus attributes” that can be discovered in the 20 New Testament events.

  This document was written to clarify some misconceptions that a person might have regarding Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship in general, and concerning some of the concepts taught in the Good Soil seminar in particular.

  This is a .pdf file of the Good Soil E&D scale that appears on page 2 of the Good Soil seminar workbook. This scale is the “heart” of the Good Soil training material.

  This is a one-page, full-color, high resolution flyer that is designed to use in promoting Good Soil E&D seminars.

• Leader’s Guide for The Story of Hope (January 2012)

  This is 130+ page Leader’s Guide for the The Story of Hope. It includes teaching tips for using The Story of Hope in one-on-one situations, as well as in small group Bible study settings. It also includes answers to the questions in The Story of Hope.

  This is a 60+ page Leader’s Guide for The Way to Joy.

  A step by step guide for leading people through The Story of Hope studies.  Translated into Spanish in Lima, Peru.

  Associating the word "persuasion" with evangelism causes concern on the part of many believers. Perhaps the abusive type of persuasion that many of us have experienced or observed is the reason for that concern. But what does the New Testament have to say on this topic? That's the purpose of this article--to investigate the concept of "persuasion" in the New Testament.

  This document contains the quantity pricing index for TSOH and TWTJ, both for ABWE personnel and for people outside of ABWE.

• Selecting Scripture Portions

  This article by missionary-missiologist Rick Brown focuses on some important Bible translation issues. Since it is impossible to translate the entire Bible quickly, which Bible portions are most important to translate initially? The article also emphasizes the need to keep oral learners in mind, when doing pioneer evangelism. Much of the emphasis of this 16 page article is valuable to missionaries using The Story of Hope, especially those who need to adapt The Story of Hope for the worldview group with which they are ministering.

• Some Observations from the Good Soil E&D Scale (09-23-09)

  This document contains approximately 30 observations that can be made from the Good Soil E&D scale.

• Systematic and Biblical Theology Compared

  This is a one-page visual overview to help explain the differences between systematic and Biblical theology.

• The Grand Narrative of Scripture

  Dr. Jim Grier gives an excellent overview of the story of Scripture—the Bible’s metanarrative.

• The Idea of Biblical Theology by Geerhardus Vos

  Dr. Geerhardus Vos (1862-1949) was the most influential evangelical Bible scholar in the early development and popularization of the discipline of Biblical Theology (the counterpart to Systematic Theology).  This essay was his inaugural address as Professor of Biblical Theology in Princeton Theological Seminary on May 8, 1894.  Although it's not easy reading, it does help to clarify the distinctives and values of Biblical Theology.
